Skiing With Friends

A couple of weekends ago we headed to the mountains with our newest friends, Hannah and Jeremy (aka Bear). We have LOVED building a friendship with this fantastic couple. We are a good fit for each other. Our babies, Ava and Jacob, are just a month apart and both needed to be close to their mommies so they tagged along. Claire was lucky enough to hang out back in Texas with my sister and my parents. A huge perk of the weekend was that Hannah's sweet sister came with us as well to help out with the babies while we hit the slopes...such a treat. We could not have asked for a better set up. We were at the base of the mountain at Keystone and they have night skiing which helped extend the day, so although we only had lift tickets for Saturday we got our fair share of skiing in and were plenty tired by nightfall.

Jacob and Ava cracked me up. Ava is about five pounds lighter than Jacob but has twice as much energy. She is so cute and never stops moving. Jacob would sit and play with a toy (since he is not mobile yet) and tiny little Ava would come over to play and tackle him. They laughed and kissed a lot. The picture of her laying in his lap gazing into his eyes cracks me up. I am pretty sure it was snapped right before Jacob chewed on her forehead. Jacob is very entertained by her love of life.
